Preparing the Area

Other preparations may be required depending on the surface where the artificial turf is placed.

Dimensions and sizing are mapped out and measured as to how much product will be needed in terms of length and width and the type of cut that will be required
Outdoors areas with heavy traffic may require some weed-killing treatment a few weeks before the installation to ensure the growth of any unwanted vegetation is eliminated for a smooth application.
the top level of the soil may also be removed and dug to eliminate any weeds or potential vegetation regrowth to ensure the turf can be laid on smooth flat ground and not abundantly absorbent of water and has an easy method of draining.
Installing a potential drainage system if there is no drainage system on or near the lawn

if our professionals recommend it. Alternatively, they may suggest leaving small space gaps for drainage along the way every given distance.

Setting the Base

Laying of the Turf

The experts will now cut, stretch, and lock in place all the areas the turf is needed
Infilling and ballasting of the turf will be followed to settle in the turf and make it stronger to adhere to the ground

Turf Maintenance

Once your new turf has been installed you must maintain it to ensure it is in good condition, looking its optimal best, and devoid of any preventative damage. Here are some tips to ensure the maximum life span of your artificial turf and that you have well-kept turf all year round!

Regularly brush the grass in the opposite direction of the blade strands
To keep the turf clean, lightly water it with a gentle hose pressure ensuring you don’t shoot a direct hard water stream to avoid sunken blades
Remove all objects like twigs, branches, and leaves off the turf as bacteria from them can cause mildew and mould to grow on the turf
Trim any bushes, hedges, and rake the leaves periodically to avoid any of them landing on your grass
Keep the area weed-free. If you see any weeds sprouting, remove them as soon as possible as they will spread if left unchecked
Use only gentle rakers or combs for clearing as traditional metal rakes can cause damaged blades
Remove any pest waste immediately and clean the spot gently with soap and water
Using a leaf blower is a good technique to haul away and remove anything safely
Never park your vehicles, bikes, or motorcycles on the turf as not only will their weight destroy the turf, but any leaked oil can cause permanent damage and staining
Never use any heat or open flamed objects like bonfires or barbeques as the high heat temperatures will damage the turf
